Many families with aging or disabled loved ones find themselves in need of additional assistance. CHP Adult Day Care Centers provide a variety of health, social and support services during weekday hours.

Adult day care is NOT a nursing home or assisted living facility. Clients stay at the center for a few hours at a time, or for the entire day, before returning to their own home each evening.

• Those age 18 and older
• Those who can no longer fully manage their daily activities  
• Those who can't be left alone safely
• Individuals who desire companionship/friendship
• Live with someone who needs caregiving assistance or works outside the home
• Have impairment due to illness, injury or aging
• Have a primary care physician
• Are not aggressive or abusive
• Are able to walk or transfer with assistance from a wheelchair

What We Provide

• Assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, hair care, fingernail and toenail care, incontinence care and more
  
• Stimulating activities including individual and group exercise, recreational activities, mind-memory exercises, music and crafts
  
• Monitoring, supervision and coordination of physical, occupational and speech therapies as requested by a physician
  
• Nutritious noon meal and two snacks approved by a licensed dietitian
  
• Quiet areas available for resting or reading
  
• Spacious living area with room for walking and movement

Transportation is available or may be provided by your local council on aging or senior center. Nursing and therapy services including physical, occupational, speech and massage therapy are available as ordered by a physician.
